Riding legally — the short version

Private land

You can use this vehicle on private land with the landowner's permission, with no registration, tax, or licence needed.

Public roads

Public-road use requires registration, insurance, tax, and the right licence before riding. Choose preregistered where available for DVLA paperwork before dispatch, or self-register with the documents supplied.

Licence requirements

Some riders can use a full UK driving licence. Others may need CBT training; CBT riders cannot carry a passenger and must display learner plates.
