Note the different colours on the new version just change the colour of the mudguards, as the main body is metal rather than plastic. We are still updating the photos - the first 12 currently reflect the new version of the Steed Trike.
Electrically powered, with a top speed of 28mph, this is the perfect vehicle for getting about easily with plenty of space for storage and a passenger. A real-world 20-mile range and only 40p to charge from empty.

The lockable battery is fully removable, so it can be charged in your home whilst leaving the scooter outside (very convenient if you don't have outside power outlets).
The tricycle is well protected, with a key required to start or access the battery or storage space. It also has an alarm, which can be armed and disarmed by the included key fob, as well as a steering lock.
There is a lockable storage space beneath the tricycle's base (which can house an additional battery). The additional battery doubles the range of the tricycle to 40 miles.
The tricycle is delivered on a pallet. Packed for shipping - assembly involves attaching the front wheel, front fork, handlebars and rear basket.
Registration Status
Preregistered - We have already registered the tricycle with the DVLA for you, road legal straight away, includes numberplate.
Unregistered - Not registered with the DVLA. Legal to use on private land with the landowners permission, but not on public roads. Includes the Certificate of Conformity and the tricycle has a VIN, so you could chose to register it yourself. We even have a tool to generate the paperwork you need to send to the DVLA.

You can ride the tricycle on private land with the landowner's permission without any restrictions. To ride on public roads it must be registered, insured and taxed, and you need a licence.
Choose Preregistered and we register the trike with the DVLA before it ships, so it is road-ready once you add insurance and tax (£26 per year). Choose unregistered and you can register it yourself with our step-by-step tool. We also keep a list of insurance providers we have had good experiences with.
If you have a full UK driving licence and are over 21 you don't need any other licence. Otherwise a one-day CBT course covers you (no passengers, learner plates).
